At Axle Hire our workshop team ensure that the trucks and trailers our clients receive have been serviced, cleaned and maintained to Main Roads Maintenance Accreditation requirements.

The transport industry is a different environment, in that when a truck or trailer comes into the workshop you’re dealing with people’s livelihoods and safety. Ensuring we provide a quality, safe, modern and diverse fleet to our customers helps to minimise disruption to their business.

Our workshop is run by our Operations Manager Rod Layfield, who brings 25 years  operational and management experience of the road transport industry. He is responsible for implementing detailed maintenance schedules and best-practice servicing of all Axle Hire assets, ensuring the quality and reliability of the equipment supplied to our clients.

Sometimes, the inevitable happens and a breakdown occurs – usually not during working hours! This is why we offer our after-hours breakdown support, it’s just one other way we help you feel at ease during the rental process.
